PROGRAMME SECTORS -  3. SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Youth! They’re expected to change society, to lead and direct it. Certainly they have the ability to do this, but for many of our young people, securing their own future is a much more immediate concern. Through our skills development initiatives, we try to increase the number and quality of livelihood options open to them. By preparing young people to meet the requirements of industry and linking them to recruiters, we ensure that marginalized youth are able to find stable and rewarding jobs.

In addition to the market driven hard skills training, we also incorporate significant soft skills training modules (such as management and life coping skills, communication and language skills, basic computers, manners/etiquette etc). These skills are integrated in the curriculum of all the trades run by the institutes under the DBTI network.  This gives our students that added x-factor that gives them a greater advantage in the employment market.
